Inverness
Glen
Lower Moreland Township, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania
Status:
Complete
In spring
of 2003, Arcadia Land Company and our builder, Cornerstone
Communities, completed the development of Inverness Glen,
a conservation community located in Lower Moreland Township,
Chester County.
Adjacent
to the Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust in beautiful
Huntingdon Valley, Inverness Glen is the first community
in Lower Moreland Township to preserve one third of the community’s
land as permanent open space. Landscaping at Inverness Glen
focuses exclusively on the use of native plantings while
removing invasive exotics. This effort reflects the Pennypack
Ecological Restoration Trust's objective to restore the ecological
health of native woodlands. Inverness Glen was a part of
the National Arbor Day Foundation's "Building with Trees" program.
The National Wildlife Federation certified the Inverness
model home as a “Backyard Wildlife Habitat” and
assistance has been provided to homeowners inclined to make
their property inviting to the region's natural wildlife
species.
Inverness
Glen includes 25 luxury single-family homes built by Cornerstone
Communities on a 42-acre site.
Location:
Welsh Road, between Inverness Lane and Terwood Road
