Arcadia’s Dreycott Lane Wins Award from the Delaware Valley Smart Growth Alliance October 15, 2006

Haverford, PA – Arcadia is pleased to announce that Dreycott Lane has been recognized by the Delaware Valley Smart Growth Alliance jury as a good example of smart growth development in the region.

Dreycott Lane will be a luxury condominium building located in the heart of Haverford, Pennsylvania.  Located across from the Haverford College arboretum, near the Haverford Train Station, and a five-minute walk from the Merion Cricket Club, Dreycott Lane’s 44 homes will enjoy professional concierge services, private underground parking, a fitness club, outdoor terraces, and a classic design by renowned New York area architect, Dean Marchetto, AIA.

Dreycott Lane is in the Main Line’s most beloved village—Haverford.  Haverford’s vibrant mix of shops, restaurants, schools, clubs, transportation, and top-tier services make it one of the Main Line’s most walkable communities.  A limited amount of Class A space will be available in Dreycott Lane for professional organizations.

The Delaware Valley Smart Growth Alliance (DVSGA), a non-profit collaboration of more than 100 government, private sector and non-profit organizations in the tri-state region, recognizes development proposals that comply with established smart growth criteria. Projects that receive DVSGA recognition are those that will foster regional growth and redevelopment in a manner that achieves important economic, environmental and quality of life objectives. By highlighting the potential of smart growth projects to add value to the region, the DVSGA hopes to encourage developers, business organizations, citizen groups and elected officials to strive for smart growth solutions.

Arcadia Sponsors Woodmont Family Fun Day August 1, 2006

The Woodmont Family Block Party, hosted by Arcadia Land Company on May 6th, drew over 200 residents, neighbors, township officials, and potential buyers to Woodmont, the newest traditional neighborhood development in Huntingdon Valley, Montgomery County, says an HBA Reporter editorial.

Kids enjoyed clowns, face painting, and a moonbounce, while parents visited with one another and toured model homes by Pulte HomesThe Gigliotti Group, and Masterpiece Homes.  Food vendors lined the street, and a DJ entertained the crowd for the four hour block party.  A special performance by the Lower Moreland High School Jazz Band and nature tours of Woodmont’s  preserved natural areas led by the Pennypack Ecological Restoration Trust provided entertainment for all ages.

Arcadia’s Bryn Eyre Wins Award from the Delaware Valley Smart Growth Alliance January 15, 2006

BRYN EYRE, Borough of New Morgan, Berks County, PA

Arcadia is pleased to announce that Bryn Eyre has been recognized by the Delaware Valley Smart Growth Alliance jury as a good example of smart growth development in the region.

Bryn Eyre will be a mixed-use “new urbanist” town located on a 2,582-acre brownfields site directly adjacent to the Morgantown interchange of the Pennsylvania Turnpike. The land, identified in the Berks County 2020 Plan as the largest growth area for new development, will encompass 12,500 residential units, ranging from single-family homes and townhomes to duplexes, twins, and condominium units; 3 elementary schools and a middle school; 3.2 million square feet of office space; 1.5 million square feet of retail space; and 600,000 square feet of light industrial space. Approximately 935 acres of the site will be undeveloped and left as open space, including a 150-acre park serving the entire region and preservation of a 130-acre lake. Construction could start in late 2006.
